This is one of the two questions I hear most at my workshops, so here's the straight answer.
Both Claude and ChatGPT paid plans are $20 a month. Free is a real product, not a demo. Paying mostly gets you more usage, more options, and stronger models, not a totally different tool.
If you're just starting, free is plenty to learn on.
